General Information - Inmate Phone Calls

* Call duration limited to 60 minutes maximum per call
* Calls can be collect or direct dialed
* Collect calls can only be placed to phones that can accept collect calls
* Direct dialed calls are paid for by the inmate using their phone card funds
* All phone calls can be monitored by prison staff
* Calls can only be made to numbers on the inmate's approved call list. These numbers are submitted by the inmate for approval by Corrections Canada. Prison staff will confirm that the person named in the application agrees to have contact with the offender before approving the phone number.

Cost of Calls from Federal Prisons in Canada

Direct dialed to long distance number in Canada: $0.22 connection fee and $0.11/minute+tax. Maximum call duration is 60 minutes per call.*

Direct dialed to local number: $0.50 + tax per call. Maximum call duration is 60 minutes per call. Talk 5 minutes or up to 60 minutes, same price: $0.50 + tax*
